Energy hygiene is a must when doing energy work.  Here at Promoveo Energy and Wellness, we want to highlight a first skill that is an important practice method when building your own private practice.  This is a favorite of my clients since it is easy and fast (two seconds) for them wherever they are, be it at work, at play, or taking a break for a little self care.  The just of this skill is that you want to return all energies back to Earth where she can neutralize and recycle those energies that are not in service to you anymore.  What type of energies are we talking about? Negative, not in the name of service to Self or to that of others.  A personal energy practice is essential for keeping at bay the cluttered mind, sleepless nights, anxiety and overwhelm.  A self care regiment is a must as we are bombarded with local, national and world events that test our mental endurance.  These bombardments cannot continue without caring for yourself and recharging our batteries.

Grounding is the easiest basic skill for our personal energetic practice.  It anchors us and announces to the Universe that from this moment forward “I am making a conscious choice to be aware and present in my life” and to engage with Mother Earth and the Universe.

Visualization for Grounding

  1. Say to yourself “Grounding”. This is your intention.
  2. Stand, feet together and imagine a bright green ball of energy approximately the width of your hips starting in your 1st astral chakra (between the ovaries for women, in front of the spine where tailbone is for men)
  3. Imagine this bright green ball travelling down the front of your legs past your ankles and through the arches of your feet. Now let it go down into the Earth , past the Earth’s crust and travel to its core.

This visualization will speed up as you do it more.  It should take approximately 2 seconds to travel from the 1st chakra to the Earth’s core. This connection between you and Mother Earth that you are creating is called the Grounding Cord.  It is an essential connection that creates a calm, peaceful tether.  This groundedness connects us to ourselves and to what we hold dear.  It’s a pause, an exhale, a centering of our weight.  It brings us down to connect and anchor when we have our heads in the clouds, spacey, floaty and a dithering frazzle with embodiment issues.  This two second skill can be a game changer.
